On November 15, 2019, the project of South Extension of Beijing Changping Line opened the bidding. RTTE won the bid for 36 trains /216 vehicles, with a total amount of 1.38 billion yuan.
The project starts from Xierqi station in the north and extends to Jimenqiao Station in the south, with a total length of 12.6 kilometers. The train configuration continues to be 6 Type B vehicles ( 4 motors and 2 trailers), and the configuration will remain unchanged in the near and longer stage (until 2045). The trial operation is expected to start on December 28, 2021 (for the time being). The delivery date of the first two prototype trains is November 2020 (for the time being). Serial delivery will start after the prototypes pass type test and operation examination.
The success of the South Extension of Beijing Changping Line Project's bidding marked the completion of 2019 marketing work of RTTE.
While pushing the South Extension of Beijing Changping Line project's marketing, the negotiation of cooperation about the Shaoxing Metro Line 1 is also ongoing. On November 20, RTTE signed the first phase vehicle purchase contract of Shaoxing Metro Line 1 with Shaoxing Jingyue Metro Co., Ltd. RTTE will provide 27 trains/162 aluminum alloy vehicles by the end of 2021. The total amount of the contract is about a 1.08 billion yuan.
